Thank you for choosing The Dominion Club for your next event. As Richmond’s finest Country Club, we strive to provide excellent cuisine and superb service in a gorgeous setting. Highlighted by a first class golf course, Swim and Racquet Club, and 28,000 square foot clubhouse, The Dominion Club will accommodate any size function, ranging from intimate luncheons and business meetings to casual cookouts and elegant gala receptions. Leave the details to our experienced staff and creative culinary team to ensure your next event is a seamless success.

 

Rotunda

The center of the clubhouse, this two level space offers magnificent views of the 9th and 18th greens, as well as the Dominion Lake. The second level features a full-service bar, chandelier lighting, fireplace room with baby grand piano, and a plush leather sofa lounge. Overlooking the 360 degree balcony, you will find a gorgeous spiral staircase and 600 square foot hardwood dancefloor. The lower and upper rotundas may be rented independently, or reserve the entire room for events up to 300 people.

 

Private Dining Room

Just off the Rotunda, this room is an intimate setting for meetings and parties from 20 to 50 people. As with all of our banquet spaces, the Private Dining Room is adorned with luxurious carpet and elegant wall coverings. The room also features a wraparound porch adjacent to the greens and lake.

 

Executive Boardroom

Our second story boardroom is ideal for private business meetings and upscale luncheons up to 30 people. Features include a drop-down projection screen, plus wireless internet and conference phone access. A second door leads to a balcony patio with outdoor seating perfect for dining or just pure relaxation.

 

Lakeside Lawn

This is our most beautiful setting for outdoor receptions up to 300 guests. The lush green lawn and large patio are adjacent to the breathtaking Dominion Lake. Across the water is the Wyndham Gazebo, the perfect site for an unforgettable wedding ceremony.

 

Swim & Racquet Club

For summer cookouts or casual parties of any kind, this area boasts a junior Olympic size swimming pool, a separate bar with outdoor lounge seating, premium sound system, and a large patio for up to 300 guests.

 

Room Capacities

These numbers correspond to the maximum capacities given a simple setup (i.e. just tables and chairs). As other items are introduced into the room, such as buffet setups, beverage stations, A/V equipment, dancefloor, etc., these capacities are decreased to ensure adequate guest comfort and proper flow.

Room Rates

Half day (0 - 4 hours) and Full day (4 - 8 hours) rates are based on the duration of the event plus one hour for setup and one hour for breakdown. Each room has an associated minimum food and beverage purchase. Room rental rates are waived for Dominion Club members, provided that the F&B minimum requirement is satisfied.
Note that special rates apply for events held on Saturdays.

All wedding receptions require the full rotunda and full day rental.

Ceremony Sites

Lakeside Lawn

Located directly behind the clubhouse, this is our most beautiful setting for wedding ceremonies. This area boasts a permanent brick aisle, altar area, and large patio, surrounded by lush green grass and adjacent to the breathtaking Dominion Lake. Accommodates up to 250 guests. Please call for rates.

 

Wyndham Amphitheatre

Across the water is the Wyndham Gazebo and outdoor Amphitheatre. The gazebo is an intimate spot for ceremonies up to 40 people, while the amphitheatre can seat approximately 300 guests. Additional shuttle service must be arranged for transportation of guests from club to site.  Please call for rates.

 

Rotunda Staircase

Stage your ceremony on our spiral staircase with cascading bridesmaids and groomsmen while your guests look on from the Upper Rotunda. The staircase may be used for those who prefer indoor ceremonies, or may also be used as a back up plan for inclement weather (outdoor site rate will still apply). Accommodates up to 60 seated guests and maximum of 150 guests. Please call for rates.

 

Ceremony Amenities

  • Direction of ceremony rehearsal held day before (may be scheduled 10am-5pm)
  • Master of ceremonies for actual event
  • Setup and breakdown of ceremony site

  • Bridal Suite for Wedding Party following post-ceremony pictures
  • Garden chairs for up to 100 guests (additional chairs may be rented for $4 per chair)

Policies

 

Dress Code

To avoid embarrassment to your guests, please advise them of our strict dress code. Denim of any color and ballcaps are prohibited inside or outside the clubhouse. For formal events, coat/tie and dresses are required.

 

Function Space

The food and beverage minimum must be met for the space rented. Please refer to the room rates chart above for these fees. Function rooms are assigned according to number of guests and anticipated requirements. The Dominion Club reserves the right to reassign function space and rental fees.

 

Menu

Menu must be determined at least 30 days in advance of event. Any changes made after this point must be authorized by the Executive Chef and the Catering Director. Any food purchased or made elsewhere may not be brought on the property without the expressed written permission of Dominion Club management.

 

Bar Service

The sales and service of alcoholic beverages are regulated by the Virginia ABC board. The Dominion Club is the only licensed authority to sell and serve alcohol on the premises. The club does not allow any outside alcoholic beverages brought on the property. If a minor is found consuming alcohol, the club reserves the right to terminate the function at the client’s expense. The club may also refuse service to any guest for any reason. Cash bars are subject to an additional fee of $200 per event, charged to the host client.

 

Prices

All charges are subject to 20% service charge and 5% state sales tax. This will be included on your estimate. Because of the fluctuating nature of the market, The Dominion Club reserves the right to adjust menu prices accordingly.

 

Payment

The signed contract, non-refundable room fee, and Visa/MC number is required to secure your reservation. An additional 50% is due 30 days prior to the event. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event, based on the final guarantee. Bar consumption charges will be billed to the credit card on file one week following the event. Members are exempt from all deposits, but are still subject to the entire cancellation policy. Member events may be posted to member account, or must be paid in full the day of the event.

 

Final guarantee

A guaranteed count is required for all functions at the time of booking. The Catering Director must be notified of the final guarantee at least 7 days in advance of event. If the final guarantee is less than 75% of the original estimate, this will be regarded as the amount due. Any increase after the final guarantee is subject to product availability, and may be subject to an adjustment fee of $100.

 

Cancellation Policy

Any event cancelled may be subject to the following fees:

·   More than 90 days prior to event             25% due

·   31-90 days in advance of event               75% due

·   Less than 30 days prior to event            100% due
